Jane Austen Dancers of Bath Annual Ball 2022
Attendance Specific Information for Guests
Essential reading and action needed prior to attending the Ball on 31st July 2021
Please pass this and the Dance specific information to ALL members of your party.
Following the recent Government announcement confirming the lifting of restrictions from 19th July, Devizes Town Hall (DTH) have confirmed our Summer Ball on Saturday 31st July can go ahead as planned – Huzzah!
DTH have asked all guests to carry out a lateral flow test prior to the event and we would appreciate your cooperation with this, for the safety of ourselves, the caterers, and the venue staff. Test kits can be obtained free of charge at most chemists or online.
Please do NOT attend the Ball if you have a POSITIVE test result or you feel unwell.
In line with Government advice, the instructions from DTH and our own risk assessment, please note the following:
Numbers have been restricted to 50, instead of our usual 80, to allow for social distancing as much as possible.
All windows in the Assembly Room and bar area, the main entrance door and the fire exit door in the Cheese Hall will all be left open to allow ventilation when appropriate. Security staff will be on site all evening.
Masks must be worn in the public areas (unless you are exempt), particularly the bar area and stairs. This is a requirement of the venue. Masks do not need to be worn for dancing, and obviously not while seated for supper.
Hand sanitiser will be provided but you may also like to bring your own, especially for use at Supper.
Please read the 2021 Ball Dance Safety document also attached in the email
