The Jane Austen Dancers are based in the beautiful Georgian City of Bath, where Jane Austen set two of her six published novels and made her home from 1801 to 1806, and in nearby historic Bradford-on-Avon
The Jane Austen Dancers provide opportunities for people from all backgrounds to develop their knowledge of and skill at the dances from the Regency and late Georgian period and share their knowledge and pleasure with a wider public through a varied programme of dances and balls and demonstrations
We hold regular classes in the art of late Georgian social dance where whatever your dance experience, from beginner to experienced, you can learn to master " Duke of Kent's Waltz " or " Prince Regent's Favourite " as well as keeping fit and making new friends
Many of our members get involved in our costumed demonstrations and several have had the opportunity to participate in professional film and television projects
The Jane Austen Dancers can also be hired to perform at your special occasion
